S. Perry Brickman, D.D.S.
Dr. S. Perry Brickman became an investigative journalist after a long career as an oral surgeon. He and his wife of 64 years, Shirley Berkowitz Brickman, are the proud parents of Lori Brickman Freeman (Joe), Teresa Brickman Finer (Paul) and Jeff Brickman (Susan). They have six grandchildren.
An active community volunteer for over a half century, Dr. Brickman served as President of the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta from 1990-1992. He received Federation's Lifetime of Achievement Award in 2015.
In 2012, Emory University conferred on Brickman its Maker of History Award following the unveiling of his documentary exposing antisemitism at the Emory dental school during the years 1948-1961.
In 2016, he was bestowed the Emory Medal, the highest award given by the Emory Alumni Association.
